Retrace Your Steps
It feels like just yesterday. While on a family camping trip as a child to the American Southwest, you saw something that you couldn't explain.
Lights in the Sky.
Some say it was just the weather. But you know what you saw! All this time it's been a complete mystery. Now you want to go back to find out what happened that night.
In Development
Revisit the site where you witnessed strange lights in the sky almost half a century ago and unravel the details of what happened in the desert that night in 1978.

What You Remember
Come Prepared
Setup camp and decide how you want to deploy your equipment while it's still light out. Mount surveillance cameras, program drone flight paths, position advanced radar and scanning systems.
When the sun sets, observe the vast night sky overhead and your desert surroundings. While your tools play a central role in discovering what's going on, they're no match for the best observational equipment you have...your own eyes!
Technology has advanced quite a bit since the 70s! You'll be bringing along some of the most advanced pieces of tech to help track, record, and identify complex signal anomalies and unidentified anomalous phenomena unique to the area.
Note: All visuals are captured in-engine. Final gameplay may change.
About Blank Tape
Blank Tape Software is an indie game company with roots going back to the original first and second generation cartridge-based systems of the late 70s and early 80s. Today we specialize in modern home consoles, but continue to carry the same pioneering spirit from the "Golden Age" of video games.
Some of my earliest memories as a child are with my dad playing Pac-Man and Haunted House together on the Atari 2600. I didn't wonder what made the games tick at the age of 4 - just that we were having fun together. Today I strive to help carry on the tradition of bringing friends and family together through games to play and have fun.
We are also committed to a strict No-AI policy. It's simply not for us.
